The Tom West Company has been actively involved in the local homebuilding industry since 1969.

 Building both speculative and custom homes in the area, Tom A. West, III and Tom West Company, Inc. are one of the most trusted and recognized names in Dothan real estate. The company is involved in the construction of homes in all square footage sizes and all price ranges, from starter homes around 1200 SF to the larger homes around 3500 SF. With a lot inventory in some of Dothan's best subdivisions, the construction department is able to put a complete package together for most any potential homebuyer.

Tom West III started Tom West Company Inc over 40 years ago. A graduate of the University of Alabama, Tom returned to Dothan in the mortgage banking business. Next he combined his mortgage banking business with a real estate office and several years later entered the home building industry as a natural progression. In the past several years he has become a very active developer as well, with interest in Chapelwood, Westbrook, Beacon Place and Deer Valley Subdivisions. He is a past president of the Homebuilders Association of Dothan, a past president of the Dothan Board of Realtors, having been honored as Realtor of the Year and its first Multiple Listing President, and served on the Board of Directors of Wachovia Bank. In 2001, Tom West was inducted into the Home Builders Hall of Fame by the Home Builders Association of Dothan and the Wiregrass Area. Tom is also very active in the Dothan Rotary Club having previously served as president and has been honored as a Paul Harris Fellow.

Dan Morris handles the day to day field operation of the home building company. A graduate of Auburn University, Dan has been in construction for the past 30 years, all with the Tom West Company. He is a past president of the Dothan Wiregrass Area Homebuilders Association and has served as a local and state director.
